Virtual Compliance Officer
Trista joins Review Alliance as a Virtual Compliance Officer. She received her B.A from the University of Wisconsin and her Juris Doctor from the University of North Dakota School of Law. Trista comes to R/A from a widely varied career having spent time at a consumer protection firm representing consumers before moving on to a large law firm defending financial institutions. In addition, she’s been an in-house attorney for a top-five bank and a Texas-based retailer. Having represented both consumers and institutional clients gives her a fair and balanced perspective on compliance issues and making risk-based decisions. She is both CRCM and CIPP, and licensed as an attorney in Texas.
More recently, she’s provided direction and guidance on the design of compliance programs and managed privacy programs, including drafting and controlling the development of compliance policies and distribution of training, and provided guidance in the implementation of risk-mitigation strategies. Her experience is a valuable asset to our VCO program and to the B/A Access magazine as one of the featured authors.
